The Red Sea Golf Week

Coastal golf from a private Red Sea villa

6 nights at Shebara, a two MICHELIN Key resort on Sheybarah Island, paired with three rounds at Shura Links, Saudi Arabia's first island golf course. This is a Red Sea golf journey for a private group, built around championship play, caddie continuity, villa life, sea recovery and the futuristic barefoot luxury that makes Shebara feel unlike anywhere else in the region. The experience is serious about the golf, but never trapped by it.

Experience Overview

Golf Between Reef and Horizon

This is not a golf trip built around a hotel stay. It is a week where the course, the island and the sea all matter equally. Shura Links gives the group three chances to understand the same coastal course in different conditions, with a dedicated caddie building knowledge round by round. Shebara becomes the place to return to: quiet, architectural, barefoot and surrounded by reef, with the Four Bedroom Beach Royal Villa giving the group its own base on the island.

The Golf

The Golf

Three rounds are played at Shura Links, a par 72 coastal course designed by Brian Curley. The same caddie is assigned throughout, allowing the group to build course knowledge across the stay.

The Villa

The Villa

The stay is based in the Four Bedroom Beach Royal Villa, a 900 sqm beachfront residence with private pool, outdoor dining terrace, BBQ station and private dock. It is made for groups who want space, privacy and a proper island base between rounds.

The Island

The Island

Shebara brings a new kind of Red Sea luxury. Reflective villas, reef access, open lagoon, seaplane arrival, barefoot service and precise dining create a setting that feels futuristic without losing the ease of an island retreat.

What Defines the Experience

Shura Links

Shura Links

Shura Links is Saudi Arabia's first island golf course. Designed by Brian Curley, the par 72 course brings coastal links play to the Red Sea, with wind, shoreline holes and island terrain shaping the game.

Three-Round Format

Three-Round Format

The experience is built around three rounds, not a single showpiece tee time. The first round introduces the course, the second tests the group in changing conditions, and the third gives the game room to settle.

Dedicated Caddie

Dedicated Caddie

The same caddie stays with the group across all three rounds. That continuity matters, especially on a course where wind, angles and shoreline holes reward local knowledge.

Trackman Session

Trackman Session

After the second round, the group has a Trackman session at the Shura Links academy with a PGA Professional. The analysis is targeted, based on what the course has already revealed.

Red Sea Shoreline Holes

Red Sea Shoreline Holes

Holes 4 through 7 play directly along the Red Sea shoreline. They bring the setting into the round properly, with water, wind and visual pressure becoming part of the decision-making.

Four Bedroom Beach Royal Villa

Four Bedroom Beach Royal Villa

The group stays in Shebara's Four Bedroom Beach Royal Villa. At 900 sqm, with pool, terrace, outdoor dining, BBQ station and private dock, it gives the week a generous private base.

Futuristic Barefoot Luxury

Futuristic Barefoot Luxury

Shebara is one of the most distinctive new resorts in the Red Sea. Its reflective architecture, island setting and barefoot service create a feeling that is precise, modern and still deeply relaxed.

Seaplane Arrival

Seaplane Arrival

The experience begins with a seaplane flight from Red Sea International Airport. The 30-minute approach over coral reef and lagoon sets the tone before the group even reaches the island.

Private Boat Day

Private Boat Day

A private boat charter takes the group across Al Wajh Lagoon. Catamaran sailing, lunch at anchor and open water give the week a break from the course without losing the feeling of the Red Sea.

Outer Reef Dive

Outer Reef Dive

The final full day includes a guided outer reef dive with the Shebara dive team. It brings the marine world around the resort into the journey, with some of the Red Sea's healthiest coral below the surface.

Spa Recovery

Spa Recovery

Spa treatments are built around recovery and ritual. Pearl and Green Caviar Hammam, Moonlight Meteorite Massage and the Shebara Signature Journey give the body proper care between rounds.

Private Villa Dining

Private Villa Dining

The villa is not only accommodation, but a private setting for the group. Breakfasts can be served on the terrace, and selected dinners can be arranged by the pool, with the BBQ station prepared and the lagoon beside the table.

ARIAMARE

ARIAMARE

ARIAMARE serves Mediterranean cuisine by Michelin-starred restaurateur Chef Marco Garfagnini. The cooking is precise and unhurried, with the Red Sea just beyond the table.

IKI.ROE

IKI.ROE

IKI.ROE brings Japanese-Nikkei dining to the island. The omakase-style experience, with signatures such as Truffle Teriyaki Lobster and Wagyu Tokusei Tsukune, gives the evenings a sharper culinary edge.

SARIA and Solera

SARIA and Solera

SARIA sits by the lagoon with Levantine cooking, while Solera is the adults pool bar for sunset, small plates and non-alcoholic cocktails. Together, they keep the island rhythm light between larger dinners.

What to Expect

A Golf Week with Its Own Island

The week is designed around the feeling serious golfers know well: a course becoming more interesting each time it is played. The first round is discovery, the second is adjustment, the third is conviction. With the same caddie throughout and a Trackman session after the second round, the golf has a proper arc rather than a collection of tee times.

Away from Shura Links, the group returns to a villa that changes the pace completely. Breakfast can be quiet on the terrace before a transfer. Evenings can be held at the restaurants, or brought back to the villa with a private dinner by the pool, the BBQ station prepared and the dock opening onto the lagoon.

Shebara gives the trip its atmosphere. The resort is precise, reflective and futuristic, but the experience still feels barefoot and relaxed. Golf in the morning, sea in the afternoon, spa when the body needs it, dinner where the group wants it. The week feels polished without becoming formal.

The Story

A New Golf Coast

The Red Sea is becoming one of the most ambitious new luxury destinations in the world, and Shebara is among its clearest statements. The resort does not borrow the usual language of island luxury. Its reflective villas, reef-conscious design and seaplane arrival feel closer to a future imagined on water.

Shura Links brings golf into that same vision. Saudi Arabia's first island golf course is not a desert course with sea views added after the fact. It is coastal, open and shaped by its island setting, with shoreline holes, wind, dunes, mangroves and the Red Sea visible in the decisions a player has to make.

Together, Shebara and Shura Links create a rare kind of golf week. The game has enough repetition to become serious, while the island keeps the stay spectacular. Three rounds, one caddie, a private villa, reef, spa, boat, dining and the strange beauty of Shebara's architecture make the journey feel less like a resort escape and more like the beginning of a new golf frontier.
