The Island
Soneva Secret sits in the remote Makunudhoo Atoll, far from the familiar routes of the Maldives. With the whole island reserved, every beach, villa, boat, restaurant and quiet corner can be shaped around the people you bring.

A Full Buyout of Soneva Secret
A full buyout of Soneva Secret, created for one family, celebration or inner circle in the Maldives. Up to sixty guests stay across beach and overwater villas, with full board included and each villa cared for by its own dedicated team. Days unfold through deserted-island breakfasts, reef expeditions, private chefs, moonrise dinners, children's adventures, wine cellar evenings, marine conservation and stargazing with Soneva's resident astronomer.

Soneva describes true luxury as something rare, unusual and exceptional, but also deeply desired and cherished. This buyout is built around that idea. The island becomes the setting for a week of experiences that feel both generous and personal: mornings on empty sandbanks, afternoons in the water with marine biologists, evenings around fire, and nights spent beneath the stars.

Soneva Secret, Dhipparufushi, Makunudhoo Atoll. One of Soneva’s most secluded resorts, created around privacy, nature, sustainability and rare personalised hospitality.
Eleven one-master-bedroom villas with separate rooms and two two-master-bedroom villas with separate rooms. Villas include beach and overwater settings, private pools, generous living spaces, retractable-roof bedrooms and direct access to beach or lagoon.
Up to sixty guests, depending on final guest mix, villa allocation and operational approval.
Full board, full island buyout, dedicated villa teams, private chefs, access to the island’s main dining settings, beach spaces, wellness facilities, children’s areas and curated guest experiences.
Seaplane transfers, private yacht usage, premium beverages, caviar and Champagne, live music, private performances, digital storytellers, astronomer-led stargazing, marine biologist-led expeditions, sandbank dining, sketchbook dinner setups, children’s programming, ceremonies and bespoke event production.

The stay begins with a sense that the island has already learned your group. Villas are prepared, preferences are understood, and each household has its own team. From the first evening, the pace belongs to the people who came.
Days are built from choice, not schedule. Some guests may join a marine conservation expedition, others may take a cooking class, go diving, follow dolphins, sail a catamaran or spend the day with children at The Den. A smaller group can disappear to a sandbank while the rest of the island moves quietly around lunch, treatments and swims.
Evenings are where the buyout becomes unforgettable. One night can be a Maldivian dinner with stories around the campfire, another a wine-paired dinner at The Wine Cellar, another a moonrise dinner on the sand. For the final night, the island can gather everyone by fire, music, lanterns and the sea.

This is a sample seven-night rhythm for a Soneva Secret buyout. Each day is shaped around the group, the season, the weather, marine conditions and the final arrangements confirmed before arrival.
Soneva changed the language of luxury in the Maldives. When Soneva Fushi opened in 1995, Sonu and Eva Shivdasani introduced a different idea of island life: no heavy formality, no polished distance, no need for luxury to feel dressed up. It became known for the spirit of barefoot luxury, where guests could leave their shoes behind and still feel looked after at the highest level.
That philosophy is still the thread running through Soneva Secret. The island is not designed to impress through spectacle alone. It is built around space, nature and privacy, with each day shaped by two ideas: that an experience should feel unusual enough to be worth the journey, and true enough to stay with a guest long after they leave.
A full buyout takes that idea to its most complete form. The island becomes a place where children can be barefoot from morning to night, where dinner can happen on a sandbank under the moon, where a marine biologist can turn the reef into a living classroom, and where an astronomer can close the evening beneath the stars. It is not luxury that asks to be admired. It is luxury that gives people time, freedom and something they will actually remember.
